Creator Guidelines
CFBMods is built for creators and players. These guidelines keep the mod directory useful, legal, and safe while giving creators a clean place to publish updates without juggling random file hosts.
Short version
Share original mod work, explain what it does, version it clearly, and do not upload copyrighted game files, piracy tools, malware, or anything pretending to be official EA/NCAA/NFL/team content.
Required before you publish
- [ok]Only upload work you created, have permission to share, or can legally redistribute.
- [ok]Do not upload full game files, paid content, leaked builds, keys, cracks, DRM bypass tools, or anything that helps users avoid buying the base game.
- [ok]Use clear names, screenshots, version notes, and install instructions so players know exactly what they are downloading.
- [ok]Keep downloads safe: no malware, deceptive installers, password traps, or unrelated bundled software.
- [ok]Respect creators, teams, players, schools, and leagues. Do not impersonate official accounts or claim EA/NCAA/NFL/team endorsement.
Make your listing useful
- [ok]Include at least one representative screenshot or preview image.
- [ok]Document what changed in each version instead of replacing files silently.
- [ok]List compatibility notes such as game version, required tools, platform assumptions, and known conflicts.
- [ok]Credit contributors and upstream tools when they helped make the mod possible.
- [ok]Add support links on your profile if you want players to follow or support your work.
Files and downloads
Upload mod packages, patches, tools, screenshots, and other creator-made assets that are meant to be shared. Do not upload raw game dumps, paid DLC, official assets extracted for redistribution, serial keys, account credentials, or anything whose main purpose is bypassing purchase or platform controls.
If a mod requires external tools or a specific install process, explain that in the description. If a file is experimental, unsupported, or may conflict with other mods, say so up front.
Moderation and takedowns
CFBMods may hide, edit, or remove listings that break these guidelines, create legal risk, mislead players, or harm the community. Repeat or severe abuse can result in account limits.
