CFB 27 Early Access Day - Where are the Mods?

College Football 27 launches today at 2PM EST for Deluxe Edition. Some players have already been on the field since Thursday through MVP+ access and the EA Play trial, but today marks the next big wave of players getting into the game. For a lot of people in the CFB community, this is the real start of launch week.

It is also the start of the waiting game for mods.

Are CFB 27 mods available yet?

Not yet.

At the time of this post, there are currently no public CFB 27 mods, modding tools, or confirmed editing workflows available for general use. That is normal for a brand-new release, especially for a game that the community is still exploring.

Even though CFB 27 being available on PC is a major step forward for the modding scene, it does not mean mods appear on day one. Before creators can release anything reliable, the community still needs time to inspect the game files, understand what can be changed, build or update tools, and figure out what is safe and practical to share.

What is CFBMods?

CFBMods.com is a public-facing directory and community hub for College Football 27 mods and related community creations.

The goal is simple: make it easier for players to find mods and easier for creators to share their work once the scene starts moving. As mods, tools, and tutorials become available, CFBMods will help organize them in one place instead of forcing players to dig through scattered posts, file links, and Discord messages.

That said, CFBMods is not the only place where mods will exist. A lot of the early work, discussion, and tool distribution will likely come from established community groups, especially CFMC. When that happens, CFBMods will point players toward the right places instead of pretending everything has to live here.

CFBMods is also not affiliated with EA, the NCAA, or CFMC.

Where should players go right now?

For now, the best thing to do is join the communities, follow updates, and be patient while the people working on tools do their thing.

What happens next?

Over the next few days and weeks, the community will start learning what is possible with CFB 27 on PC. Some things may move quickly. Other things may take time. There may be experiments, dead ends, breakthroughs, and probably a lot of “does this work?” posts along the way.

As public tools and mods become available, CFBMods will begin listing them, linking to trusted sources, and helping players understand what each release does.

For now, enjoy launch week, keep expectations realistic, and do not download random files from people you do not trust.

The CFB 27 modding scene has not started yet, but the door is finally open.
